Expected to make its debut in India sometime during the early part of 2017, the facelift model of the Hyundai Grand i10 have been spotted doing its test rounds in India.

It would not be wrong to say that the Grand i10 is amongst one of the best selling and widely appreciated Hyundai in India. Essentially launched to replace the i10 hatchback, the Grand i10 established itself in a segment of its own. Loaded with creature considerable creature comforts and sporting an attractive design language, this Korean hatchback emerged as a decent package for Indian buyers.Nevertheless, its time that the Grand i10 should receive its mid-life facelift; in order to keep up with the competition and Hyundai is currently in works of doing the same. At the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor show, the Korean automobile giant will officially debut the Grand i10 facelift, for the world to see. The manufacturer has already started the process of the testing the same on the India soil and thanks to the chaps at MotorBeam, it has been caught doing the very things on camera.In the images revealed by Hyundai of the Grand i10 facelift, one can clearly see that the makeover is only limited to front and rear-facia of the vehicle. The hatchback continues to maintain its earlier design profile. Up-front, Hyundai have refreshed the bumper. It still gets the signature grille, but the styling of the same has been changed and the European spec model is to feature two extra circular lights on the same. The housing for the fog-lamps seems to have been inspired from the latest iteration of the Hyundai Elantra premium sedan.

The side profile will continue to carry its sleek shoulder lines and its sharp lower contours. Further changes will be observed towards the rear facia of the vehicle. Here too, all the modification have been done on the bumper itself. In place of the earlier reflectors mounted on either edge, it now gets a large integrated housing for the same, while the shape of the reflectors have been changed to circular from their earlier edgy feel. Coming to the interiors of the car, the upholstery will remain dual tone. The dashboard layout will also be carry forwarded from the current model. What changes is the number of equipments on the central console. The top-spec model is likely to get a new touch screen multi-media system. It will continue to come loaded with features like start-top button, auto Air-Con, steering mounted control, a spacious interiors, rear AC vents, Dual airbags and ABS with EBD.

Under the hood, things will remain exactly the same as before. The Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will continue to come with the option of both petrol and diesel power terrains. The Petrol derivative will get the same 1.2-litre engine which is capable enough to pump-out 82Bhp along with a peak torque of 113Nm. The oil burner will be a 1.0-litre, 69Bhp and 92Nm unit. Both the engines will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, transferring the power to the front wheels. The petrol engine will also be offered with a 4-speed automatic unit as well. As mentioned earlier, the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift is likely to be launched in India during the early part of the year 2017. The new model will be a slightly more premium than the outgoing model, hence expect the prices to be slated according. Hatchback is expected to fall under the bracket of INR 4.9lakh to 7lakh (ex-showroom).
