1 Place liquid, such as stock, broth or water, in the pressure cooker.

3 Secure the lid onto the pressure cooker. Move the steam release valve to see if it feels gummy; if it does, clean it. If it does not, it is working correctly. Ensure the lid is on tight, then place the pressure cooker into the microwave.
4 Turn on the microwave for your recipe's recommended period of time.
5 Let the pressure cooker sit in the microwave for several minutes after the oven has turned off. This lets the rest of the steam escape and allows the pressure to come down inside the cooker.
6 Remove the lid once the pressure has returned to normal. The cooker will be quiet, and no more steam will be escaping. This can take 20 to 30 minutes. The food continues to cook during this time, so don't rush the cooling process -- this can result in food that is not cooked properly.
Tips and warnings
Nordic Ware has recipes with detailed instructions that come with the pressure cooker.
Never open a pressure cooker while it is under pressure. Serious injury can result.
Nordic Ware recommends never filling the pressure cooker more than two-thirds full. The remaining space is for steam expansion. Overfilling might cause the cooker to work improperly.

1 Place your ingredients into the Tender Cooker. Depending on the recipe, you may need to cover meat with foil to keep it moist and tender during the cooking process; the foil will not harm your microwave if used within the cooker.
2 Attach the regulator top to the cooker. Set the regulator gauge to meet the requirements of the recipe.
3 Put the Tender Cooker into the microwave. Set the microwave to meet the requirements of the recipe.
4 Remove the Tender Cooker from the microwave once cooking is complete. Allow a few minutes for the pressure within the Tender Cooker to lower before trying to open it. Opening the cooker too soon causes the items inside the cooker to explode outward with the rapid release of pressure.
